Seculert Javelin is the first inside-out attack simulation and remediation service that allows you to determine how well your secure web gateway (SWG), next-generation firewalls (NGFW), or proxy would do at preventing the latest, real world, malicious malware attacks from succeeding in communicating with their perpetrator’s command and control servers.

Javelin is a web-based service that emulates the communications that a cyber-attack attempts to perform after it has infected a device on your network. Javelin observes and reports on the gateway’s response (block or allow)and presents the results immediately to the user.

Javelin’s results are based on unique knowledge of the latest, real world, malware attack behavior gleaned from the Seculert Attack Detection Platform that protects more than 2 million users from the negative effects of cyber-attacks each day.  

Enterprises that wish to continuously monitor gateway performance can automate the Javelin simulation using an agent packaged in the Seculert Virtual Appliance (SVA).

Seculert offers a Daily Fix service that can be used empower existing gateways to block malcious outbound should a device become infected with live versions of the attacks simulated by Javelin.

 

Machine Learning Analytics

The key to Seculert’s ability to provide unique security system performance visibility to executives while simultaneously providing SOC teams with verified and actionable attack reports is the supervised machine learning analytics engine. The Seculert Automated Attack Platform ingests massive amounts of crowd sourced customer data generated by Seculert customer’s perimeter prevention systems. This data comprises the primary learning set that drives the machine learning analytics engine.

The primary learning set is then enriched by contextual data generated by Seculert’s proprietary attack behavior profiles and behavior logs from all of the leading proxy/gateway products. All three data streams are then combined by the machine learning engine to generate unique and verified reports of active attacks and security system performance. The Seculert platform can do all of this with far more speed and accuracy because its location in the cloud allows the machine learning analytics engine to use a far larger learning set and bring far more compute cycles to bear than are available with premises based solutions.
